Sr. Geraldine joined in with a local group calling for Staffordshire County Council to divest its pension scheme of investing in companies complicit in the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Over £151 million of the pension fund is invested in companies that produce weapons, provide infrastructure for the illegal occupation of Palestinian land or conduct business within the illegal settlements. Staffordshire Divest for Palestine(SD4P) were holding a rally near the convent.
